Pivokio is the nickname of Anneke Verschave, your independent director to create audiovisual stories, online or for television.
If you want to find a good angle to cover a story for yourself, your agency, or your television format you can count on Anneke Verschave. She is an explorer who combines her talent for writing, shooting and editing all-in-one. She has build experience as an editor in international tv production companies and channels. She is an international videomaker ready to tell stories whether it should be a news event, a documentary, or a creative impression. Before you can even tell, she finds an angle to shoot the reality. Her magic lies in the way she puts her focus into the heart of the people.
Pivokio is also a story producer bringing together people, directors, producers and companies in order to get the work done. Anneke Verschave began her media career as a news producer in 2004 at Reuters TV Brussels, covering European Union issues as well as major Belgian stories including the trial of Marc Dutroux. She also travelled extensively to The Hague covering the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. From 2007 to 2009 she worked at human interest programs for VRT (Het leven zoals het is: de Marollen) and for Antwerp Regional Television, ATV. For more then a decade Anneke Verschave is looking for the most special characters and people to bring on air. She has been doing research for India For Beginners, and infotainment programs like Cowboy builders (Red Mijn Huis). She spend a whole year following Teenage mothers for VIER and worked on editorial desks of Kanakna Productions, part of Zodiak Media as well as other international Media companies like Warner Bros International Television Productions, Fremantle Media, SBS Belgium, Associated Press Television News. Her editorial work has been broadcast on Belgian and Dutch channels including EEN, CANVAS, VTM, RTL, VIER, VIJF. Anneke was born in Leuven in 1981 and educated at the University of Antwerp in Communication sciences. She completed a post graduate degree in International Relations and Diplomacy in 2004.
Anneke is crazy about Italy and speaks apart from Dutch also fluently Italian, English and French. In 2012 she made a long travel throughout Greece, she discovered that in Greek alfabet an n is like a v. The name Pivokio stands for telling video stories truthful, sincere and shot in reality style.
